Become A Volunteer For Fringe 2026

Would you like to make a difference and get involved in our town’s amazing event?
We’re currently looking for volunteers to fill roles / help in the following areas:

• Press Officer – Press releases, coordination of comms activities
• Comms Manager – keeping venues / performers /visitors in the loop
• Social Media – look at our existing output and tell us how you could help
• Treasurer
• Registrations – set up and process registrations (requiring good Excel skills and attention to detail), liaise with venues and performers
• Website – An experienced WordPress developer, keen to maintain and enhance the existing website.
• IT support – to manage domain, website and email hosting, cloud storage etc.

Fringe 2025 – Meet The Team

• Shaftesbury Fringe, what an incredible weekend that was! The core team of just nine unpaid volunteers normally keep themselves out of the spotlight, but we thought it was only fair to give credit to their tireless all year work behind the scenes, so a big drumroll for:
• Cal – Chair, infrastructure, sponsorship, Park Walk traders and busking stage, everything really!
• Rose – Vice-chair, event volunteer organisation, Town Hall Fringe HQ
• Alice – Social media
• Kevin – Registrations, app, website, IT support
• Kim – Treasurer
• Mark / Ollie – Build Team supremos. Signs in/out of town, Fringebury towers, town decoration
• Sue / Johnny – Creative, Snail Trail, tower toppers, creatures around town, street art etc.
